Fatdog exchange is a virtual stock market game based on celebrities. You buy and sell shares in celebrities making fatdog dollars on possible profits. Your progress is recorded on the players league table. The aim of the game is to collect more fatdog dollars than any other player. TOP
Joining is simple, all you have to do is enter a username and your email address. If you wish to be eligible for prizes you need to fill out the whole of the registration form which follows the entry of username and email address. A Fatdog dollar is represented by $FD. It is a fantasy currency used by this site. You earn $FD on the various markets and then spend them at the Fatdog auctions. From time to time there are other ways to earn $FD, (see the bulletin board).TOP

Go to any of the Fatdog markets pick the share you want and buy it. Pick a market acting, business, modelling, music, politics, sport. TOP

The market works by players buying and selling celebrities. If players buy a celebrity share then the price of that share will rise according to how many players are buying that share. If players sell a celebrity then the celebrity share will go down. If you hold a celebrity share that has risen in value then you can sell for a profit, but if the share has fallen in value when you come to sell you will make a loss.TOP
You 1% commission on each purchase on week days, you pay no commission when you are selling shares. Weekends are 0.5%. Players with a value less than $5000 do not pay commission (this is to help newbies).TOP
On the 10th, 20th and 30th of every month a dividend is paid on each share you own. The amount shown in the dividends column is the amount you recieve per share. This is provided that you have help the share for fourteen days. Otherwise you will only receive a percentage of this amount dependant on how long you have held the share.TOP
The dividend value is determined by the amount of news coverage that celebriity recieved in the past 10 days.TOP
You can buy any of the celebrities that are listed on the market.TOP
To request a celebrity to be added to the market list simply leave a request on the bulletin board and it will be considered. the more famous the celebrity the more likely they will be accepted.TOP
Players can get to the No.1 spot of the players league by making a profit from trading celebrity shares. Don't give up too easily, the top is along way, but you can rise through the ranks fairly quickly if you try.TOP
You can trade as many times as you like.TOP
You are only allowed one username, we have implemented measures to make sure that each player can only use one username. This makes the game fairer to all, if you wish to change your username you will need to have the first one deleted this can be done from the players settings page.TOP
Provided you know you email address, you can go to the login page and clik on the link that says "I fogot my password" here you can enter your email address and have a new password sent. Click here to go to this feature.TOP
A member is someone who has made a significant number of posts to the bulletin board.TOP
To use the auctions simply chose the item you wish to bid on, making sure you have enough cash in your account to make the bid. If you do not have enough cash then you will have to sell some shares to raise the cash. Click on the "to make a bid click here," link and then enter the desired amount in the entry box. You can make upto $FD 5,000 per person. When a registered player trades they pay a commision which usually goes back to the exchange. If the player is one who has been refered, then the commision is paid to the player that has refered them. Click here to refer a friend.TOP
You only receive referal $FD when a player you refered trades. If they do not trade then you receive no referal $FD.TOP
